Project Summary

OUR PROJECT

Based on the sports practice of canoeing.

Suscanoe is a project that arises from the needs detected in relation to the demands of several lines of action that guarantee the relevance of our project:

Collaborate with the 2021-2024 Sports Work Plan, focused on ecological sports.

Respond to the priorities of the Erasmus Plus program. We are mainly dedicated to the Environment and the fight against climate change, through the sport of canoeing.

Respond to the manifest needs, established in the Sport for Climate Action Framework, which governs the framework for action, led by the UN, such as making a systematic effort to promote greater environmental responsibility, educating to act against change climate or promote climate action, through communication.

To respond to these demands and needs, our project focuses mainly on the following lines of action

1

Promote Environmental Awareness through the practice of canoeing: a) Research on knowledge b) Education and Training on that knowledge c) Direct observation of the behavior of our aquatic environments, through the sports practice of canoeing.

2

Develop training and awareness campaigns in the search for environmental eco-ambassadors, through peer training and through the practice of canoeing.

3

Actively participate, through our sport, in the protection and care of natural and protected ecosystems.

4

Establish sustainable practices and strategies in our sports practice and in the organization of sporting events, related to canoeing.

5

Use Olympic figures as agents of change, all our institutions have Olympic and Paralympic athletes, as well as international athletes, who will help us expand the ideas of our project.

6

Promote codes of environmental ethics among canoeists and participate in environmental initiatives that promote continuous commitment to caring for the environment.
